ANTHROPOLOGIC FOOD LAB AND COOKING EXPERIENCES
The Anthropological Food Lab founded by Oh! My Cod is a creative research space where chefs, anthropologists, farmers, and local communities come together to explore the cultural, emotional, and historical meanings behind food. It’s part kitchen, part archive, part storytelling studio.
Imagine a place where recipes are treated like oral histories, where ingredients are studied not just for their flavor but for the journeys they’ve taken across oceans, generations, and landscapes. In this lab, food isn’t just cooked—it’s decoded.
OBSERVATORY LAB: FOODSCAPE WALKING ROUTES OF PICO ISLAND
Wild Edible Plants • Traditional Knowledge • Living Landscapes
This Observatory Lab invites you to conceive and experience Pico Island through its edible and cultural landscapes, where volcanic geology, wild plants, and community knowledge are deeply intertwined. Rooted in ethnobotanical research and ethnographic observation, the project explores how people have long read, used, and shaped this territory through their daily interactions with spontaneous plants.
PICO WINE & CHANGE OBSERVATORY
Land • Community • Wine • Future
In 2025 Pico stands at a crossroads. Its vineyards are more than fields — they are the product of centuries of resilience and community.
To help protect this living heritage, we propose a small, participatory platform that documents how gentrification, land pressure and economic shifts affect local viticulture.
