A small lunch with Marina’s family (OMC host) and Natacha (OMC Chef) ,before the big works started!
We’re currently restoring our monte alentejano in the heart of Alentejo, near Arraiolos —those traditional countryside properties that blend rural life, simple architecture, and an authentic bond with the land and culture. This project fulfills a dream I’ve carried since my teenage years: my love for Alentejo has always pushed me to spend more time here and to become part of the local community. That’s why this place matters so much to us—it nurtures our own passion for the region while giving us the chance to share it and collaborate with the people who live here.
Our plan is to open local accommodation and, alongside a comfortable stay, offer a curated selection of food, wine, and farm experiences, designed to be intimate and tailor-made. Visitors will be able to meet small-scale producers, learn about their know-how and daily challenges, taste what they create, and explore the area’s culinary heritage—discovering traditions and recipes that go far beyond the usual restaurant menus.
If you’d like to follow our progress, feel free to join our Alentejo group—you’ll get updates on the renovation and be among the first to know when we officially welcome guests (send a message here with the word “Alentejo”)
