A small group Lisbon boat tour adventure gathering sailing, relaxing and eating in one only experience!
Discover the city from the water while connecting with amazing locals through delicious food on our Lisbon sailing tour.
Our boat trip casts off near Belém Tower (in Doca do Espanhol), a privileged area to explore some of the most famous historical monuments from the calm of the Tagus River. It’s an opportunity to learn about history and Portuguese curiosities, to cruise and relax, all while eating and drinking off an exclusive menu made of one-of-a-kind tastings.
We immerse ourselves into the old part of Lisbon, namely Terreiro do Paço and Alfama. Learn how Lisbon’s port and margins evolved along the centuries, see the old fish markets, the places where Romans produced a fish sauce called garum, and learn about the richness of Tagus river and how it all shaped cultures, battles, empires, and the cosmopolitan Lisbon of today.
Along our way, the 7 hills of Lisbon will become clearer in a continuous silhouette against the sky: See Graça, Saint Jorge Castle and some of the best lookout points that this city has to offer, like the miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara and Adamastor.
With Lisbon as a backdrop and a welcoming Port cocktail in your hand, we begin to explore Portuguese cuisine and wine.
Our Lisbon sailboat tour then changes direction, and you’ll be amazed by the diversity of the landscape. On the opposite margin, you can see the old stores where Port wine and dried codfish were kept, the Cristo Rei statue, plus lots of street art and secret restaurants to make plans for.
If the weather allows, we then search for a quiet place to have a short swim (can happens in 10% of the trips) before we gather ourselves around the table tasting a unique dish created by our chef exclusively for this trip with a unique fresh Portuguese white wine!
While eating, drinking and learning about Portuguese food, we slowly approach Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery and Padrão dos Descobrimentos Monument, an area devoted to 15th-century Portuguese sailors and known for its peculiar architectural features.
With our appetite satisfied, we sail back and enjoy the sunset as we approach our final destination.

FAQ
-
Yes, always. Our crew is composed of three hosts. Aside from the chef and skipper, you will always have a guide that speaks either Portuguese, French, English, Spanish, Japanese, or a combination of languages.
The host/guide will provide you detailed information about the monuments, Portuguese history, interesting places to go on both sides of the river, hidden gems and reply to all the food-related questions you may have.
That said, all the crew members are able to add relevant local information according to their interests. -
Children of all ages are welcome! If they are less than six (6) years old, the use of a lifejacket is mandatory.
-
For all departures, we recommend that you bring water to drink and a coat to protect you from the wind just in case. In the winter season, please bring a warm waterproof coat. For hot sunny days, please bring a bathing suit in case we go for a swim, a towel and never forget your sunscreen!
Shoes: The proper shoe to have aboard a boat is actually no shoes at all, but when it gets cold you’ll probably want something on your feet. Avoid high heels and shoes with a dark or black sole because they can damage the deck and mark the topside.
-
Depending on your mode of transportation, it will be approximately 20 minutes by car, Uber or taxi or 40 minutes (including walking time) by bus, train or tram.
